Janine Hall Black Polish Frame
This is my interpretation of a Flemish Cabinetmakers frame. Had the frame been produced three-hundred years ago the small, carved design would have run the entire length of the moulding. However, to suit the contemporary period the painting was created in, the early 21st century, I used only small runs of the pattern, providing a hint or whisper of the past embedded into the black polished finish.
