Bevelled Mahogany Gallery Floater
This frame was milled from African mahogany and joined raw. The finish was achieved by coating the wood with alcohol based dye. Once the desired colour was achieved, the frame was waxed and buffed. The effect is one of isolating the painting, almost as if it was an object. (Painting by Carl White)
